Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, including general commodities and specialized cargo, on regional routes with home time on weekends. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load/secure cargo (hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight as applicable), maintain DOT/FMCSA logs and paperwork, verify bills of lading, plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Demonstrate reliable, safety-conscious work habits, strong time management, clear communication with customers/dispatch, and teamwork in a professional yard environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
