Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight regionally around Wooster, OH and surrounding lanes. Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, loading, securing, and inspecting cargo (including hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight), maintaining accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation, verifying bills of lading, collecting signatures, planning routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, performing basic vehicle maintenance, and coordinating with dispatch to ensure on-time delivery. Key skills include safe driving, time management, clear communication with customers and dispatch, and teamwork. Requirements: valid Class A CDL, high school diploma or GED, willingness to perform hazmat loads (hazmat endorsement preferred but not required), ability to pass DOT/FMCSA physicals.
