Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight including hazmat, general commodities, and specialized cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight procedures. Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork. Verify bills of lading and ensure paperwork is complete. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup/delivery windows. Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean. High School Diploma or GED required; valid Class A CDL; HazMat endorsement preferred not required; TWIC card preferred not required. Strong time management, clear communication with customers, and team-oriented attitude expected. Expect regional lanes with home every weekend and pay structure based on line haul; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid vacation.
