Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, including general and specialized cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo (hazmat/temperature-sensitive freight); maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation; verify bills of lading and obtain signatures; plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep equipment ready for service.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- HazMat endorsement preferred but not required
- DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
- TWIC card preferred but not required
