Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes (400–500 miles from Wooster, OH) hauling dry freight. Responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading/securement, handling hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight, maintaining compliant DOT/FMCSA documentation and logs, planning routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, conducting basic vehicle maintenance, and ensuring paperwork is complete. Must display reliability, safety-mindedness, strong time management, clear communication with dispatch and customers, and teamwork to support on-road and yard operations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
