Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional lanes (400–500 miles from Wooster, OH) to transport general commodities and hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow special handling procedures for hazmat; maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork; plan routes and schedules to meet pickup/delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance; communicate professionally with customers and dispatch; ensure paperwork is complete and correct. Compensation includes mileage pay with a regional focus, weekly home time, and various bonuses and benefits are provided.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL — required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required.
- TWIC card preferred not required.
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.
