Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes to haul freight, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load/secure cargo (including hazmat), maintain HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork, plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Strong communication with dispatch and a safety-conscious, team-oriented approach are essential. Compensation includes mileage-based pay with a stated weekly minimum and potential bonuses, along with comprehensive benefits and paid orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- HazMat endorsement preferred but not required
- TWIC card preferred but not required
- Must pass DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
- Knowledge of HOS and DOT/FMCSA documentation
- Ability to plan routes and maintain safety standards
