Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight including general commodities and specialized cargo (powdered cement regional lanes). Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow hazmat procedures when applicable; maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork; verify bills of lading and obtain signatures; plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean. Strong emphasis on reliability, safety, time management, and clear communication with dispatch and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
