Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on regional routes (400–500 miles from Wooster, OH) to transport dry freight and specialized cargo. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo; manage hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight with proper handling procedures. Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation; verify bills of lading and signatures; plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows. Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean. Demonstrate reliability, safety-mindedness, strong time-management, clear communication with customers and dispatch, and teamwork. Compensation includes mileage pay with starting and experienced rates per mile, quarterly safety bonus, weekly home time, and comprehensive benefits; initial HazMat certification costs are covered. Requires a valid Class A CDL; HazMat endorsement preferred but not required; DOT/FMCSA physical requirements must be met.
