Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, including general commodities and specialized cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo (hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight as applicable); maintain HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork; verify bills of lading and collect signatures; plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep equipment clean. Regional routes offer home time on weekends with a starting compensation structure based on line haul percentages, plus additional pay for stops, detentions, and other driver-type pay features; equipment includes fully equipped LT trucks with amenities for comfort on the road.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
