Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport general and hazmat freight regionally (400–500 mile trips from Wooster, OH). Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo (hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight), maintain accurate DOT/FMCSA logs, verify bills of lading, plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, and conduct basic vehicle maintenance. Must meet DOT/FMCSA physical requirements and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers; strong safety mindset and time management required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL — required
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
