Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, including general commodities and specialized cargo (hazmat/temperature-sensitive freight). Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow procedures for hazmat and temperature-controlled freight. Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork; verify bills of lading and obtain signatures/receipts. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup/delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance; keep trailer clean and ready. Strong communication and teamwork with dispatch and customers; safe, reliable, and accountable operation on regional lanes. Equipment includes modern International LT trucks with amenities; starting pay structured as percentage of line haul with increases and additional pays, plus comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
