Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo across regional lanes. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects, accidents, or violations promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo with focus on hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight; maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation. Verify bills of lading, collect signatures/receipts, and ensure paperwork is complete. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean. Possesses strong time management, clear communication with customers and dispatch, and a team-oriented mindset to support safe, efficient regional operations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
