Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo (hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight); maintain accurate DOT/FMCSA logs and required paperwork; verify bills of lading and receipts; plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows; provide basic vehicle maintenance and keep equipment clean. Demonstrate reliability, safety-consciousness, and strong communication with dispatch and customers; work as a team on regional lanes with home weekly time expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass DOT/FMCSA physicals
