Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, including hazmat or temperature-sensitive cargo, on regional routes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo; maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork; verify bills of lading and collect signatures. Plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows; conduct basic vehicle maintenance; and communicate professionally with customers and dispatch. Equipped with modern truck amenities for driver comfort. Requires High School Diploma or GED and valid Class A CDL; HazMat endorsement preferred but not required. Home weekends with regional lanes and competitive pay structure.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
- Experience operating Class A tractor-trailers
- Ability to plan routes and schedules
- Ability to maintain HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documents
- Load, secure, and inspect cargo including hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight
- Strong communication with customers and dispatch
- Safe driving record and eligibility for HazMat endorsement (preferred)
- TWIC card (preferred)
