Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, including general commodities and specialized cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects or violations promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo with hazmat handling procedures; maintain HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation. Verify bills of lading, collect signatures, and ensure paperwork is complete. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows. Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep equipment clean. Required to be reliable, safety-conscious, and a clear communicator; must work well as a team with dispatch and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
