Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring hours of service, and maintaining accurate logs. Transport protein and food products across the Eastern Mid-Atlantic, including North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Washington DC, while verifying load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery. Deliver no-touch freight, average 10 loads per week, and communicate proactively with the fleet manager regarding weather, traffic, or customer delays. Represent the client professionally at all customer locations, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report mechanical issues promptly. Work nights with a weekly home schedule for a 34-hour reset.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Meeting all Department of Transportation qualification requirements
- Holding a current DOT medical certification
- An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Compliance with all federal testing requirements throughout employment
- Hiring within 50 miles of Tar Heel and Clinton, NC
