Job Summary
Operates tractor/trailer equipment in accordance with all DOT regulations to transport product safely and legally from the Distribution Centers to the Vendor's destination. Delivers and unloads/loads medical equipment to hospitals (e.g., beds, mattresses, ambulance cots, trial machines, pediatric cribs, furniture) with white-glove service; unloads on hospital docks using crane-equipped trailers; conducts full pre-trip and post-trip inspections; maintains driver logs and trip reports; communicates delivery issues to management; handles multi-stop routes across Lower MI, IN, OH, KY, IL, Western PA, and WV. Pays $29.00 per hour with a $60 per diem for each overnight and a quarterly safety bonus; benefits from Day 1 include Medical/Dental/Vision, 401K match, paid holidays, PTO, and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Must have CDL-A.
- Must have 2 years of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience within the past 7 years.
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
- Good driving record.
- Must be able to pass background check, DOT drug screen, and DOT physical.
- Must be registered in the National Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with a clear record.
- Prior delivery experience: White glove delivery service preferred but is NOT required.
- Stable employment history.
- Employment verifications will be completed to verify driver has adequate experience and to verify driving history with former employers.
- Must have strong, excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Must be able to push, pull, and remove equipment from racks and position equipment in designated area.
- Pallet-jack experience preferred.
