Job Summary
Regional Class A driver responsible for operating tractor-trailer equipment per DOT regulations to transport medical equipment from distribution centers to hospitals, performing full pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining logs and trip reports, handling white-glove multi-stop deliveries (including unloading/loading, crane-assisted moves, and rolling equipment into hospital docks), and communicating delivery issues to management. Must have CDL-A, 2+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, ability to operate manual transmission, and strong customer service skills. Pays $29/hour with per diem for overnights, plus safety bonuses and benefits; routes cover Lower MI, IN, OH, KY, IL, Western PA, WV. Location hint: Hartford, MI, within the US. The role includes the physical requirements of loading/unloading with pallet-jacks and potential limited overnight travel. This position emphasizes dependable employment history, compliance with DOT requirements, and the capacity to perform white-glove delivery tasks in hospital settings.
Required Qualifications
- Must have CDL-A
- Must have 2 years of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience within the past 7 years
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission
- Good driving record
- Must be able to pass background check, DOT drug screen, and DOT physical
- Must be registered in the National Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with a clear record
- Prior delivery experience: White glove delivery service preferred but is NOT required
- Stable employment history
- Employment verifications will be completed to verify driver has adequate experience andto verify driving history with former employers
- Must have strong, excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to push, pull, and remove equipment from racks and position equipment in designated area
- Pallet-jack experience preferred
