Job Summary
CDL-A regional truck driver operating tractor/trailer to transport products per DOT regs from distribution centers to hospitals and vendors. Responsibilities include pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintaining daily logs/trip reports, communicating delivery issues, unloading/loading medical equipment (beds, hospital cots, furniture, etc.) with white-glove service, and leveraging equipment like a crane to unload. Delivers to multiple states (MS, AL, GA, TN, NC, SC, FL Pan Handle). Per diem provided for overnights; paid hourly with benefits (medical/dental/vision, holidays, PTO, 401K match, tuition reimbursement). Requires strong customer service, ability to operate manual transmission, background check, DOT drug screen/physical, and enrollment in the Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
Required Qualifications
- Must have CDL-A
- Must have 2 years of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience within the past 7 years
- Must be able to operate a manual transmission
- Good driving record
- Must be able to pass background check, DOT drug screen, and DOT physical
- Must be registered in the National Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse with a clear record
- Strong, excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to push, pull, and remove equipment from racks and position equipment in designated area
- Pallet-jack experience preferred
