Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring hours of service, and maintaining accurate logs. Transport dry van freight across customer locations in Montana and Idaho on assigned routes, planning fuel stops and communicating proactively with the fleet manager regarding weather or delays. Perform drop-and-hook operations by verifying load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, securing freight correctly, and completing bills of lading. Represent the client professionally, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report mechanical issues promptly. This weekly home schedule includes a five-day work week with top-of-the-line automatic transmission sleeper trucks. Hiring is within 75 miles of Albany, OR, for drivers with a valid CDL-A and three months of verifiable experience.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Meeting all Department of Transportation qualification requirements
- Holding a current DOT medical certification
- An acceptable motor vehicle record
- A safety history
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Compliance with all federal testing requirements throughout employment
- Hiring within 75 miles of Albany, OR
