Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer on a dedicated regional route across SC, NC, GA, AL, TN, KY, VA, WV, and OH, handling multi-stop deliveries averaging three stops per load. Manually unload freight from the trailer and place boxes onto a roller conveyor belt at each delivery point before store personnel take over. Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs, and stay compliant with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Communicate with dispatch to confirm routes, delivery windows, and on-road issues while securing and handling freight properly to prevent damage. Follow all safety protocols during loading, driving, and unloading, with an average weekly mileage of 1,004 miles. The route runs Sunday through Friday or Monday through Saturday with a 34-hour reset and consistent home time.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable SOLO tractor-trailer driving experience
- Acceptable driving record; no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- No DUI/DWI within the past 5 years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to pass a background check
- Physically able to manually unload freight at delivery stops
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly during unloading
- Reliable communication with dispatch throughout each shift
