Job Summary
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on regional or over-the-road routes transporting dry van freight efficiently. Complete 2,500-3,000 miles per week while performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintaining accurate logs to comply with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding routes and schedules, handling 99% drop-and-hook freight with minimal loading and unloading. Choose your own flexible schedule based on preferred home time and location, with the option to take-home the truck based on location and route.
Required Qualifications
- 2 years CDL Class A driving experience
- Must be able to operate manual 10-speed trucks
- No SAP (Substance Abuse Program) participation
- Maximum of 2 non-severe moving violations in the past 3 years
- Maximum of 2 non-severe accidents/incidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to run regional or OTR routes and stay out at least one week when needed
- Must live within a 70-mile radius of Des Moines, IA
