Job Summary
Transport freight and related materials by commercial motor vehicle, delivering and picking up cargo as assigned in a safe, timely manner. Report departures, arrivals, and proof of delivery information while handling freight loading and unloading at terminals. Perform complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections for all vehicles driven daily and ensure inspection reports and logs are accurately completed. Maintain a valid CDL, Medcard, and Hazmat or Tanker endorsement, adhering to DOT and CFR regulations. Must possess a valid CDL, lift 75lbs or greater, and demonstrate the ability to interact with demanding customers in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of CDL driving experience
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test & physical evaluation
- Must be able to lift 75lbs or greater
- Must possess a valid CDL and Medcard
- Hazmat & Tanker endorsement, or the ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment
- No major driving infractions within the past 3 years
- Able to interact with demanding customers
- Knowledge of terminal area
- Capable of making inside deliveries as directed by dispatcher
- Proven ability to work positively and effectively in a fast-paced and stressful environment
