Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects, accidents, or violations promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain accurate HOS logs and all required DOT/FMCSA documentation. Verify bills of lading, collect signatures/receipts, and ensure all paperwork is complete and correct. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows. Perform basic vehicle maintenance (fluids, minor repairs); keep trailer clean and ready. Strong safety focus; reliable, accountable, and team-oriented with clear communication to customers and dispatch.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
