Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on OTR routes (400–500 miles from Wooster, OH) hauling dry freight with a focus on safety and efficiency. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo (including hazmat when applicable), maintain DOT/FMCSA logs, verify bills of lading, and plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows. Maintain basic vehicle upkeep, communicate effectively with dispatch and customers, and comply with all DOT/FMCSA requirements. Compensation includes mileage pay (0.54–0.60 per mile with potential bonuses) and weekly home time; HazMat loads and various pay add-ons are available. Requires valid CDL A; HazMat endorsement preferred but not required; high school diploma or GED; ability to meet DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.
