Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on OTR routes (400–500 miles from Wooster, OH) to transport freight, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo including hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight, maintain accurate DOT/FMCSA logs and documentation, plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Strong communication with dispatch, attention to safety, and a team-oriented approach are essential; requires compliance with all DOT/FMCSA requirements and may involve HazMat-related duties.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL — required
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- TWIC card preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
