Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight across regional/O TR lanes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects or violations promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo including hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation. Verify bills of lading, collect signatures, and ensure paperwork is complete. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup/delivery windows. Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean and ready. Exhibit reliability, safety-consciousness, time-management, clear communication with customers, and teamwork on the road and in the yard.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
