Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and hazmat or temperature-sensitive cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo; report defects or incidents; maintain HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork; verify bills of lading and ensure accuracy. Plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, perform basic vehicle maintenance, and adapt to route constraints. Must meet DOT/FMCSA requirements and communicate professionally with customers and dispatch; team-oriented and safety-conscious.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
