Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight across regional lanes. Responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and securing cargo (including hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight), maintaining accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation, verifying bills of lading, planning routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, and basic vehicle maintenance. Requirements: CDL A, HazMat endorsement preferred not required, High School Diploma or GED, ability to meet DOT/FMCSA physicals. Skills emphasized: safety-consciousness, time management, clear communication with dispatch and customers, and strong teamwork. Pay structure includes mileage pay with experience-based rates, weekly minimums, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits.
