Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to haul dry freight on OTR regional lanes (400–500 miles from Wooster, OH). Responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading and securing cargo (hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight when required), maintaining accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation, verifying bills of lading, planning routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, basic vehicle maintenance, and ensuring paperwork is complete. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and strong communication with dispatch and customers, with benefits including orientation, weekly home time, bonuses, and comprehensive health and retirement plans.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
