Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo (including hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight), maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation, verify bills of lading and collect signatures, plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, perform basic vehicle maintenance, and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- TWIC card preferred not required
- Must pass DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
