Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects promptly. Load, secure, and inspect cargo with handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation; verify bills of lading and ensure paperwork is complete. Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean. Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of effective communication with dispatch and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
