Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally, completing pre- and post-trip inspections, monitoring hours of service, and maintaining accurate logs. Transport dry van retail freight along the I-95 corridor from Florida to Maine, Ohio, Alabama, and beyond, adhering to assigned routes and communicating proactively with dispatch regarding delays. Verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly, and complete bills of lading. Represent the client professionally at customer locations, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report mechanical issues promptly. Home time occurs every two weeks with typical 14-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation. Average earnings are $1,511 per week, comprising mileage, stop, and detention pay. Hiring is available near Shippensburg, Philadelphia, Ono PA, Burlington NJ, Dover DE, Big Island VA, Winston Salem, Charlotte, Fayetteville NC, Darlington SC, Rincon GA, and Jacksonville FL.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Meeting all Department of Transportation qualification requirements
- Holding a current DOT medical certification
- An acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Compliance with all federal testing requirements throughout employment
- Hiring within 50 miles of Shippensburg, Philadelphia and Ono PA, Burlington NJ, Dover DE, Big Island VA, Winston Salem, Charlotte and Fayetteville NC, Darlington SC, Rincon GA and Jacksonville FL
- Ability to park at home or a secure location nearby
