Job Summary
Operate over-the-road CDL A trucks averaging 2,500 miles weekly with 99% no-touch freight, utilizing a modern fleet of Peterbilt 579s, Cascadias, Volvos, and Internationals. Manage an OTR schedule of approximately two weeks out followed by two nights home for most states. Maintain a clean driving record with no more than three preventable or chargeable accidents or moving violations within the past three years, and ensure no major violations, DUIs, or license suspensions in the last five years. Complete required MVR and PSP reviews, pass English language proficiency checks, and adhere to all accident and violation standards.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Valid CDL
- At least 21 years old
- Ability to meet company and insurance qualification requirements
- Ability to pass required MVR and PSP reviews
- Ability to meet the company's accident and violation standards
- No more than 3 preventable or chargeable accidents within the previous 3 years
- No more than 3 moving violations within a 3-year period, OR no more than 20 points under the SMS Unsafe Driver Basic Violation Table
- No major violations within the previous 3 years
- No DUI within the previous 5 years
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete required reports and records
