Job Summary
Operate modern Peterbilt 579, Cascadia, Volvo, and International trucks on an over-the-road schedule averaging 2,500 miles weekly with approximately 99% no-touch freight. Manage extended periods on the road across multiple US regions while maintaining a structured home-time routine of two weeks out followed by two nights home for most states. Ensure safe and efficient truck operation in support of a 24/7 driver support program and in-house repair services.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months of verifiable CDL driving experience
- Valid CDL
- At least 21 years old
- Ability to meet company and insurance qualification requirements
- Ability to pass required MVR and PSP reviews
- Ability to meet the company's accident and violation standards
- No more than 3 preventable or chargeable accidents within the previous 3 years
- No more than 3 moving violations within a 3-year period, OR no more than 20 points under the SMS Unsafe Driver Basic Violation Table
- No major violations within the previous 3 years
- No DUI within the previous 5 years
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English sufficiently to converse with the general public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and complete required reports and records
