Job Summary
Operate delivery vehicles to transport center-of-the-plate products to various locations across New England, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while adhering to scheduled routes. Load and unload products using a dolly, handling items weighing 50+ lbs repeatedly, and maintain a clean, organized vehicle with routine pre- and post-trip inspections. Verify delivery orders against invoices, report discrepancies to management, and communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers. Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and Food Safety Guidelines, including reporting maintenance needs and temperature issues. Deliveries occur in all weather conditions and may involve stairs; assist teammates as required to meet order fulfillment.
Required Qualifications
- CDL A or B
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly throughout the day using a 2-wheeler (dolly) loaded with several hundred lbs.
- Deliveries are made in all weather conditions throughout the year (snow, ice, rain, heat, wind, etc.), and may involve stairs on occasion.
- Must comply with the Food Safety Guidelines.
- Avoid roadside inspection violations (which affect PSP and SMS Scores).
