Job Summary
Drive a company truck to customer locations in the Chicagoland area, refuel the vehicle, and maintain cab cleanliness while performing required truck inspections. Operate a pallet jack to load and unload produce, stack boxes on hand trucks, and manage ramp positioning for efficient loading and unloading. Collect payments from customers and keep logbooks current for weekly submission. Work a 3rd shift from 10:00pm to 6:30am Monday through Saturday with one day off during the week. Requires a CDL A or B license, valid medical certificate, and DOT knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- CDL A or B license
- valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
- at least 21 years old
- knowledgeable of DOT regulations
- Must be able to use: 2-Wheeler/Dolly, breakdown Dolly, Manuel Pallet Jack & Small Power Jack
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to use a broom
- Must be able to operate a pallet jack
- Must be able to position a loading ramp
- Must be able to stack boxes of produce onto a hand truck
- Must be able to wheel a hand truck loaded with produce
- Must be able to travel up a ramp with an empty hand cart
- Must be able to collect money from customers
- Must be able to speak and write English satisfactory
- Must maintain regular and satisfactory full-time attendance
- Must be available to perform work outside of normal business hours as needed and required
- Must be available for Monday - Saturday (5-day work week)
- Must be available for 10:00pm-6:3am shift
- Must be available for Home Daily schedule
- Must be available for 8-15 stops per day
- Must be available for cold or wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
- Must be available for moving up and down ramp for extended periods of time
- Must be available for standing or walking for long periods of time
- Must be available for sitting for long periods of time
- Must be able to perform special projects as assigned by the Distribution Director
