Job Summary
Drive a company truck to assigned customer locations around the Chicagoland area, refueling as needed and maintaining cab cleanliness. Perform inspections, sweep cargo areas, and operate pallet jacks to load and reposition product. Stack boxes onto hand trucks, wheel loaded produce down ramps, and position loading equipment for unloading. Collect payments from customers and maintain current logbooks submitted weekly to the supervisor. Complete routes with 8-15 stops daily, adhering to DOT regulations and company policies while working Monday through Saturday shifts starting between 3:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- CDL A or B license
- valid Medical Examiner's Certificate
- at least 21 years old
- knowledgeable of DOT regulations
- Must be able to use: 2-Wheeler/Dolly, breakdown Dolly, Manuel Pallet Jack & Small Power Jack
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in cold or wet cooler conditions for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move up and down ramp for extended periods of time
- Must be able to speak and write English satisfactory
- Must maintain regular and satisfactory full-time attendance
- Must be available to perform work outside of normal business hours as needed and required
