Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and hazmat or temperature-sensitive cargo on local/regional routes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load and secure cargo; report defects or incidents; maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation; verify bills of lading and collect signatures; plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows; perform basic vehicle maintenance; communicate professionally with customers and dispatch; comply with hazmat handling procedures and company safety policies.
