Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight and specialized cargo on local routes. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; load, secure, and inspect cargo including hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight. Maintain accurate DOT/FMCSA logs and related paperwork (bills of lading, receipts). Plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows; communicate with customers and dispatch. Exhibit reliability, safety-consciousness, and teamwork on the road and in the yard. Starting compensation is 25% of line haul with a 90-day increase to 28% of line haul; local routes offer home daily. Must have a valid Class A CDL; High School Diploma or GED; HazMat endorsement preferred not required; DOT/FMCSA physicals required; TWIC card preferred not required.
