Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers on local routes to haul freight, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, load and secure cargo (including hazmat), maintain DOT/FMCSA logs, and coordinate with dispatch to meet pickup/delivery windows. Role requires strong safety mindset, reliable time management, clear customer communication, and teamwork with the yard and dispatch. Home daily on most routes; immediate qualification requirements include a valid CDL-A and the ability to pass DOT/FMCSA physicals.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- HazMat endorsement preferred but not required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements
- DOT/FMCSA hours of service compliance
- Ability to load, secure, and inspect cargo including hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight
- Accurate completion of bills of lading and related paperwork
