Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight including general commodities and hazmat across regional lanes; perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, load/secure cargo, maintain HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA paperwork, plan routes to meet pickup/delivery windows, and perform basic vehicle maintenance. Must have a valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred (not required), be able to report defects promptly, and demonstrate reliability, safety-consciousness, time management, and clear communication with customers and dispatch. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid vacation, and HazMat certification costs covered; compensation structures include 25% of line haul with increases to 28% after 90 days, plus various pay enhancements such as stop, detention, and holiday pay. Home daily on local routes; equipment includes fully equipped trucks with amenities for driver comfort.
