Job Summary
Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport general commodities and specialized cargo on local routes with home daily time. Responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, loading, securing, and unloading cargo (hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight when applicable), maintaining accurate DOT/FMCSA logs and required paperwork, planning routes to meet pickup and delivery windows, and performing basic vehicle maintenance. Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and able to communicate professionally with customers and dispatch; must be a team player and able to work within the yard and on the road. The role requires a valid Class A CDL and adherence to DOT/FMCSA requirements; HazMat endorsement is preferred but not required. Education of High School Diploma or GED is required. Compensation includes weekly pay, daily/home-time variations by route, and a benefits package including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), and paid vacation.
