Job Summary
Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and legally, completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, monitoring hours of service, and keeping logs accurate per federal regulations. Transport dry van and refrigerated freight across Southern California locations, planning routes and communicating proactively with dispatch regarding delays. Verify load counts, seals, and paperwork at pickup and delivery, secure freight correctly, and complete bills of lading accurately. Represent the client professionally at customer sites, maintain equipment cleanliness, and report mechanical issues promptly. This home-daily position offers two consecutive days off per week with loads departing between 3:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Average earnings are $1,284 per week, including mileage, stop, detention, and bonus pay. Prior refrigerated experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 months of verifiable CDL-A driving experience
- Meeting all Department of Transportation qualification requirements
- Holding a current DOT medical certification
- Acceptable motor vehicle record and safety history
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Compliance with all federal testing requirements throughout employment
- Hiring within 50 miles of Shafter, CA
