Job Summary
Operate Class A tanker trucks locally in Decatur, IL, managing trips including breaks, fuel stops, and customer appointments while safely loading and unloading product per instructions. Plan routes around weather, traffic, and construction conditions, adhering to all FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and DOL regulations. Obtain Haz Mat endorsement within 60 days of hire. Work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed for timely deliveries, with weekly mileage fluctuating. Full-time, home-daily schedule with uniforms supplied.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with no restrictions
- Tanker endorsement
- Haz Mat endorsement (required within 60 days of hire)
- 1 year of verifiable OTR or Local experience within the previous 7 years
- Must be able to obtain Hazardous Materials endorsement within 90 days
- 21 years of age
- Must successfully complete a DOT pre-employment drug screen
- Must successfully complete a DOT physical
- Must successfully complete a background check
- Must successfully complete functionality testing
- No more than 1 chargeable accident within the last 3 years
- No more than 3 jobs in the last 3 years
- No more than 1 moving violation in the last three years
- Must be available for weekends, nights, and holidays
- Must be able to plan trips (breaks, fuel stops, customer appointments, weather, traffic & construction, city and rural driving conditions)
- Must be able to manage unforeseen circumstances
- Must be able to safely and efficiently load and unload product according to company and customer instructions
- Must follow all government, company & customer policies and regulations (FMCSA, OSHA, EPA, and DOL)
Desired Qualifications
