Job Summary
Transport freight between service centers and customers by loading, unloading, and operating a commercial motor vehicle safely. Perform pre and post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer, properly document freight control processes, and read shipping papers, maps, and hazardous materials markings. Affix correct placards, maintain vehicle cleanliness, assist with shipping paper preparation, and operate a forklift when needed. Adhere to operational procedures and participate in training programs while being available for irregular shifts. Requires a valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement, DOT physical, and at least two years of commercial driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- At least 23 years of age
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement
- Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card
- No DUI, Citation/Conviction for Reckless Operations in the past 3 years
- Less than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
- Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with driving, equipment inspections, and local pick-up and delivery operations
