Job Summary
Transport freight between service centers and customers by loading, unloading, and driving a commercial motor vehicle safely. Perform pre and post trip inspections on the tractor and trailer, properly document freight control processes, and maintain vehicle cleanliness. Operate a forklift to load and unload products when indicated, assist customers with shipping papers, and affix correct placards as needed. Read maps, road signs, and hazardous materials markings while adhering to operational procedures. Be available for irregular work schedules, alternating shifts, and assignments. Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 23 years of age
- At least 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Valid Class A CDL with Hazardous Materials and Tank Endorsement
- Valid DOT Physical/Medical Card
- No DUI, Citation/Conviction for Reckless Operations in the past 3 years
- Less than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
- Basic math skills
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Able to pass a drug screen
- Must be able to safely operate a commercial motor vehicle
- Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with driving, equipment inspections, and local pick-up and delivery operations
- Must be able to stand
