Job Summary
Run daily local delivery routes with frequent stops, loading packages onto hand trucks and unloading product at designated customer locations in the order assigned by the Transportation Department Manager. Operate in a cross-dock model by picking up loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and returning empty trucks to the assigned lot. Occasionally assist with loading, palletizing, and other duties as directed. Verify deliveries with customers, obtain signatures, and report discrepancies or returns immediately. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations and company policies while handling equipment safely. Handle customer complaints professionally and manage customer relations. Requires a valid Class A CDL, English proficiency, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly. Flexible hours including weekends and holidays as business needs require. Walk-ins welcome Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM (EST).
Required Qualifications
- 21+ years of age
- Pass employment screening
- License to drive - valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a driving record that meets Company's minimum standard
- Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
- Touch freight – may need to lift, push or move product weighing an average of 40-60 pounds and as much as 100 pounds repeatedly
- Flexibility – overtime as required, weekends and holidays as business needs require
Desired Qualifications
- 1 year customer delivery experience preferred
- 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred
- 6 months Food and Beverage experience preferred
- 2 years consistent work history preferred
