Job Summary
Delivers containers to sites in a safe and timely manner under the supervision of a Driver Supervisor. Retrieves cargo from various services, accounts for all goods, and submits receipts while maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Ensures air containers, pallets, loads, and equipment are transported securely. Completes vehicle reports, receiving documents, trip sheets, and other paperwork on a timely basis. Receives and accounts for COD accounts, reporting all accidents to the supervisor immediately. Logs break and lunch times while following routes on trip sheets. Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and wagons. Requires a CDL A license, forklift certification, and ability to work in cool temperatures and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- CDL A license
- Forklift proficiency and certification
- Maintains licensure and PUC certificates
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Produce industry experience
